Someone needs to understand all aspects of the business to make sure a product is successful in the marketplace and meets the demands of shareholders. In heading the annuity product line, we’re developing solutions to help tackle serious retirement problems. We all know people who struggle in the face of retirement. They’ve worked their whole lives, but will they be able to get by, and even thrive, for the next 30 years?I’m passionate about developing customized solutions to help people retire with confidence. As Athene’s Chief Product Officer, I drive my team toward the best solutions and products possible with an aim to:• Set the vision: Determine where product development needs to go to meet the needs of financial professionals and retirees.• Expand the product pipeline: Continue to lead product development while staying ahead of new channels as they emerge.• Plan and execute strategy: Collaborate closely across teams to decide how best to achieve that vision.Success isn’t possible without collaboration, so I work closely with executives, sales, marketing, operations, IT and legal. Together we monitor the competitive landscape and drill down into analytics to build and implement products that help meet the needs of today’s retirees.In my free time, I like to spend as much time as possible outdoors with my family. We enjoy traveling together, and though we do make time for theme parks and cities, we’re always on the lookout to balance that with the next great hike to accomplish together.
