Working in the Plasma Processing of Materials Laboratory under Professor Gottlieb Oehrlein with research focusing on the viability of new photoresist materials and advanced plasma processes for semiconductor applications. Utilizing a comprehensive suite of characterization techniques (in-situ ellipsometry, AFM, XPS, FTIR) to elucidate photoresist behaviors under a plasma process and tailor pattern transfer process recipes to maximize hard mask/PR etching selectivity.

Used scanning probe microscopy in conjunction with a tuning fork oscillator to refine small force detection. Attempted to characterize viscous materials such as nanoparticle ionic materials (NIMs) that currently do not have high precision force data that is obtainable using traditional scanning probe microscopy.
