During Adam Putnam’s tenure, the Florida Cabinet preserved more than 50,000 acres of land from development through perpetual conservation easement agreements.

As a candidate for the Republican nomination for Governor of Florida, Adam Putnam traveled the state sharing his Florida First message with an emphasis on career and technical training. Adam Putnam earned the support of Attorney General Pam Bondi, nearly 50 Florida Sheriffs, the Police Benevolent Association, the Florida Police Chiefs Association, the Fraternal Order of Police and Florida Professional Firefighters.

For five terms, Adam Putnam represented the 12th Congressional District of Florida in the U.S. House of Representatives. Adam Putnam was elected by his peers to serve as Chairman of the House Republican Conference, the third highest ranking position in the U.S. House from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, he served in the House Republican Policy Committee (2006 to 2008). As a policymaker, he co-sponsored the Food and Safety Modernization Act and led the passage of two Farm Bills. Adam Putnam negotiated specialty crop position on Trade Promotion Authority, CAFTA, Panama and Australia Free Trade Agreements.

Adam Putnam served as Chairman Agriculture Committee, where he focused on successful eradication of Mediterranean Fruit Fly, authored and passed comprehensive Everglades Restoration legislation, and authored and passed an overhaul of Florida Prescribed Fire Code in response to devastating wildfires of 1998.
