Through a public/private partnership with Wallace State Community College, we are truly changing the methods of training and education by introducing interactive 3D Technology in the classroom setting. Where as one would normally teach in a 2D model using a book or overhead projector. 3D technology immerses the student allowing for better retention of information. This will technology will give a more hands on approach to learning and with increased retention test scores and overall knowledge will make the students more marketable and ready to face the work force.

As the supervisor of 7 technicians I was responsible for maintaining a budget, procurement of materials, time cards, scheduling, conflict resolution, production reports, and personnel forms. I was also co-champion of the scrap program at Ford Motor Company. This program was designed to decrease the gaps in production and hold departments accountable for all parts. With this program in place I was able to set up effective tracking measures to report to Ford Motor Company all losses and saving Hundreds of thousands of dollars.

As the supervisor I was in charge of 5 physical therapy aides ensuring proper knowledge of equipment use and maintenance, exercise protocols, chart review and dictations, disciplinary recommendations to the Director. As a Fire Engine crew member we work with specialized firefighting equipment and perform many strenuous activities, including constructing firelines with hand tools or hose lays, conducting burnout operations, and mopping up hotspots near the fire’s edge. The engine crew members would also augment the Hand crew's when needed. Firefighting involves working under very hazardous conditions for long periods of time and firefighting crews are expected to accept difficult tasks. Firefighters often endure hot, smoky, dirty, dusty working conditions with little sleep and poor food. Sleep deprivation is the norm and working with sharp tools, in the dark, on a steep hillside, under hazardous conditions is a common occurrence. Firefighters are frequently required to work for days at a time with only the 40 pounds of equipment carried in a fire pack. The work performed is extremely physically demanding and can be emotionally taxing. Together for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for 4 months, the crew eats, works, travels, and rests as a unit. Under these conditions, compatibility, camaraderie, understanding, and crew pride are an absolute necessity.
