I am a well-established, networked, creative business professional who loves his chosen career field and how it can positively impact organizations. My 25+ years in HR shows a steady upward progression through the key areas of the profession which led me to start my own Human Capital consulting firm in 2015. I bring my clients a blend of real world experience coupled with senior level HR certifications and higher education which shows I have a practical and academic understanding of the modern-day HR issues they are facing. After graduating with my bachelors from Florida State, I began my career in hospitality industry operations, before making the transition to HR. Starting in 1998 I began to assemble a comprehensive body of experience in all aspects of progressive human resource management, in such diverse environments as government contracting, television production, commercial banking, hospitality, and multi-client outsourced HR support. In 2015 I founded my own business, Arc Human Capital, LLC, where we provide support for organizations seeking to fulfill their compliance mandates while striving to constantly improve their human capital capabilities. I am also an HR instructor for the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM).I have been quoted in The New York Times, US News and World Report, HR Magazine, HR Dive, and on the SHRM website, among many others. I have also been a presenter for multiple SHRM Chapters, have delivered webinars and podcasts for the Human Capital Institute and many SHRM chapters, and have been a panelist for the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and the Northern Virginia Family Services Training Futures program.I: am a contributing author to the anthology “Cultivating Culture”; completed my Masters of Science in Management (MSM) with an HR concentration at Catholic University; am a veteran of the US Navy Reserves; and hold SHRM's highest professional SCP certification.Follow me here or on Twitter @HRNole1 to share an ongoing dialog on all things business & HR related!
