Working at the V&A Museum, my duties include supervising members of the public to help them find artefacts in galleries, and it is imperative that I use my own expertise and the support of the galleries collection database to put this into practise. I have also developed and taken a huge interest in the vast array of artefacts within the museum’s collection and am able to articulately convey their importance and value to members of the public. Other duties include ensuring the security and safety of visitors, staff, collections and building and promoting V&A activities and services such as exhibitions, donations and Gift Aid.

Providing excellent visitor service experience in the UK’s leading tourist attraction; my duties involved: - Meeting and greeting visitors from all over the world - Having a solid and proficient knowledge of the vast array of ancient artefacts within the museum’s collection- Maintaining up to date information about future events, special exhibitions, and gallery closures and reopening’s- Having an in depth knowledge of the floor plan in order to be able to direct visitors to specific galleries and how to access them via different staircases and lifts- Using in house radio to communicate with the control team and fellow colleagues- Working as part of a large team to monitor the public’s safety and visitor experience- Evacuating the public in the event of an emergency following the safety procedures of the museum

Working in a reception with a big team, my role included:- Greeting guests and assisting them at the check in kiosks- Making reservations for customers- Providing help with guest queries such as directions to restaurants/theatres etc.- Fixing any technical problems in hotel rooms such as smart TV/air con and lighting issues- Providing iron/ironing boards and extra towels and pillows to guests- Helping fix wifi and app troubleshooting problems- Allocating rooms for expected arrivals- Making refunds for guests- Conducting room tours to potential investors
