I now encourage these industries to look at alternatives to litigation. These are not new—arbitration, mediation and other methods have existed for decades. But the last ten years or so have seen new techniques and new life breathed into alternative dispute resolution.Now, I am a NMAS accredited mediator. I am a panel conciliator for Master Builders Association of SA and Housing Industry Association SA. I am a member of the Magistrates Court of SA private mediation panel. I am a member of the mediators panel under the Northern Territory Petroleum Regulations. I have been trained as a conflict management coach. I am happy to take private appointments as a mediator.I am qualified as a graded arbitrator with Resolution Institute. I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. I am happy to be appointed as arbitrator in disputes within my areas of expertise.I am also happy to be appointed as an independent facilitator or expert determiner.I speak regularly to professional and industry bodies on aspects of alternative dispute resolution.
