I also raised, trained and sustained 100s of staff to be competent in AI, Data Science and Data Engineering.As an Inter-ministerial Subject Matter Expert in Data Engineering, I provided consultancies, presented reference architectures and conducted technical trainings, to government agencies in various domains – including defence, law enforcement, healthcare, transport and building construction.As Part of COVID-19 Task Force in Singapore Government, I led data fusion efforts and implemented an automated data fusion and analytics platform – for nationwide planning and operations – within a month, reduced human efforts by 90% and improved accuracy significantly. I designed, architected and led teams to implement 20+ complex mission critical systems that require real-time operations and/or big data analytics, using MPP Databases, NoSQL and the Hadoop framework.I pioneered the usage of Lambda Architecture, combining streaming analytics, in-memory “hot store”, MPP databases as well as Hadoop “cold store”.
