▶︎𝑾𝑯𝑨𝑻 𝑰 𝑫𝑰𝑫: Developed the Integrated Tanning Service extension model for Golds Gym franchises in Canada.▶︎𝑯𝑶𝑾 𝑰 𝑾𝑨𝑺 𝑹𝑬𝑪𝑶𝑮𝑵𝑰𝑺𝑬𝑫: Opened our first Independent service location in West Edmonton Mall and became fully sustainable. Rather than being a Value-Add with Gym Membership we were able to create a standalone business that generated lease income. After 6 months 18% or more of Yearly Gym Membership sales were the result of first being a client of the Tanning Salon, that brought a new demographic of female clientele to the Health Clubs through a warmer, softer more feminine introduction to the Brand. Today this model is widely used across the national franchise locations. ▶︎𝑾𝑯𝑨𝑻 𝑰 𝑺𝑷𝑬𝑪𝑰𝑨𝑳𝑰𝑺𝑬𝑫 𝑰𝑵: As the person responsible for creating a self sustaining business model in a market that otherwise viewed tanning as a Value Add for gym membership sales it was my responsibility to create a business that could survive as a self sustaining unit. The focus we took was breaking the norm of standard entry level tanning equipment and instead offering premium imported European equipment often 5-9 times the cost of the market competition. Creating a high quality intake experience, and a education based healthy approach to luxury tanning in a location where the normal checklist of what makes a salon successful were not available. Such as convenient and close parking, our first location was in Canada's largest shopping mall. This required a ground up recreation of the entire customer experience while also offering a service that was familiar and easy for clients to understand.
