As a Principal with Xynteo I split my time between London, Mumbai and Delhi, collaborating with global leaders from business, government, academia, NGOs and the start-up community to develop and implement transformational ideas to some of the world’s most complex systemic challenges. Among many projects undertaken, I led the creation and development of India2022, a coalition of purpose-led businesses committed to reinventing the growth model for India, fit for the economic, social and environmental realities and needs of the 21st century. The coalition was conceptualised in late 2016 and launched in March 2017, with the support of its founding partners Aditya Birla Group (Hindalco), SBI, Baker Hughes – a GE company, Cyient, Hindustan Unilever, Shell, Tata Trusts, WPP and TechnipFMC. As an Assistant Director in the UK Sustainability and Climate Change (S&CC) team I particularly focused on providing sustainability consulting services in the Retail and Consumer sector. The S&CC team is widely recognised as a leader in consulting and thought leadership, assisting clients in considering the environmental, social and economic impact of their business strategy, operations and supply chain. Work included helping clients create business value by understanding the sustainability and climate change opportunities for revenue growth, risk management and cost reduction.

As a Manager in the US Sustainable Business Solutions (SBS) team I particularly focused on providing sustainability consulting and assurance services in the Retail & Consumer and Technology sectors. I regularly engaged with senior executives on sustainability issues, working with companies on sustainability strategy development, implementation, reporting and assurance. I gained extensive experienced working on supply chain sustainability projects aimed at improving traceability and transparency, including the use and disclosure of Conflict Minerals. Through my work for clients across the US, Europe and China I have gained a deep understanding of the Carbon Disclosure Project initiatives, DJSI and GRI.Amongst many engagements I was involved in PwC's work with Walmart on their Supplier GHG Innovation Program, assessing their efforts to reduce GHG emissions from the supply chain. I also authored a report for the Grocery Manufacturers Association entitled "Environmental success stories in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry".

As a Senior Associate in the UK Sustainability and Climate Change (S&CC) team I supported a number of sustainability strategy development projects, providing consulting services on commercial sustainability and climate change issues, working with global companies at the highest level to understand and critique sustainability strategy and operational implementation. I worked with a number of leading global FMCG, Retail, Banking, Energy, Hospitality and CPG companies to improve business performance through sustainability considerations in the value chain. Project work focused on indentifying areas for development and refinement with regard policies, targets, key performance indicators and reporting.

Work focused on the Healthcare, Retail and Commercial Services sectors, in particular analysing, benchmarking and providing advice on environmental, social and governance performance, risk and strategic profit opportunities. I engaged regularly with senior executives worldwide on sustainability issues.Access to Medicine Index – I headed the Innovest team that was commissioned to design, develop and write the first Index www.atm-index.org. This involved extensive stakeholder engagement exercises, understanding of the sustainability impacts within the healthcare sector and international development expertise. The development stage included extensive global discussions with leading pharmaceutical companies, governments, NGOs, investors and consultants.
