Taking a Marketing Models course as part of my master's degree opened up a whole new world of forecasting and predictive analytics. I gave up a 15+ year career in IT/Software development & project management to refocus. While I remain interested in software as a tool of efficiency, I am now passionate and driven by exploring data and using analysis in decision making - both tactical and strategic. My path has taken me in different directions, from elementary education to software & web startups to market research to higher education. Somehow it was not a surprise I ended up in the "family business," both of my parents were academics. Wherever I ended up, I always brought a passion for customer service and efficiency. The results of my labors should delight, inform, and direct. Along the way, I've picked up a few technical skills that can help organizations and I've been pleased to help people. I have also found special skill and ability in becoming the "jet fuel" for a group: take an already performing team and inject a certain energy and outlook to push the team to the stratosphere.Specialties: Managing towards Vision. Motivating teams to achieve common goals. Ensuring solution/product/project results match user's needs.Particular passion for: data visualization, user experience management, finding actionable information from a mountain (or labyrinth) of data, data-driven strategic managementMy own personal quote that motivates me: "Both the person who says, 'I can't' and the person who says, 'I can' are right. Which one are you?" - Vince Lombardi
