In this broad position, I led complex matrixed teams to develop new programs, improve existing processes, and to better serve researchers in the clinical and translational space. In my tenure at ITHS, I led diverse projects spanning biomedical informatics, community engagement, workforce development, education, DEI, and program finance. Key Achievements:• Implemented a COVID-19 response for rapid research prioritization through design of the ITHS/UW COVID-19 Working Group and serves as Project Director for this initiative. • With my colleagues, founded the ITHS Anti-Racism Committee to improve diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts within our institute and across our partners. • Streamlined operational leadership of the Office of Expanding Regional Collaboration, Pilot Translational and Clinical Studies, project management and planning, and Human Resources functions.• Collaborated as an internal consultant for numerous teams within UW Medicine, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, and Seattle Children's Hospital. • Served as key point of contact for the ITHS at national events and serves as Institute liaison to the National Center for Advancing Translational Science at the National Institutes of Health. • Facilitated transition as interim leader during institutional changes, concurrently fulfilling the roles of Director of Education and Executive Director.

In this position, I worked in partnership with key academic stakeholders to design, develop, implement, and publish pertinent research studies while providing academic guidance and oversight of students, building and strengthening learner engagement in order to continuously attain academic goals and long-term success. Key Achievements:• Trailblazer in quantitative research, analyzing and discovering a novel host-virus interaction that negatively impacted vaccine engineering and the use of viruses as cancer therapies by characterizing a mechanism potentially involved in viral growth and antiviral response.• Executed robust research process and determined the in vitro secondary structure of VSV nucleoprotein, phosphoprotein, matrix protein, and glycoprotein mRNAs by SHAPE protocol.• Successfully coordinated laboratory procurement and vendor outsourcing for two grants valued at over $750,000.• Expanded laboratory research scope to include two new bioinformatics techniques; represented University by presenting insightful research at local and national conferences.• Instrumental in mentoring 11 students while teaching chemistry and biochemistry laboratories for nearly 130 students.

In this short-term position prior to pursuing graduate school, I played an integral part of a quality assurance and testing team within the aerospace industry responsible for flammability analysis and issuance of FAA-required certifications.

As a chemist, I dedicated specialization to experimental design; biological analyses, data processing and interpretation, and documentation in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) regulations; conducted and oversaw analytical testing for drug formulation and R&D pharmaceutical studies.

In this position, I spearheaded development and edited quality assurance policies in accordance with National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Conference (NELAC) specifications; managed and oversaw the quality and performance of four staff members for air quality analyses; successfully analyzed air quality samples by a variety of environmental standards.
