About Adam Williams

I'm now into my third decade in the telecoms industry.I come from a mobile background - I started out in early 2001, when BT Cellnet (remember them?) was still a thing, but along the way, I've been involved in other services too, and have spent a lot of my time working with Hosted Telephony and Connectivity in recent times. A lot has changed in the meantime, and keeping track can be difficult without a helping hand - I specialise in "getting my hands dirty", helping partners with their opportunities by delving into the technical detail and ensuring we get it right first time.After that, I spent some years working with Channel Partners at a reseller, and following that I crossed over to be one of them - using my experience within the arena to help other resellers and dealers offer better services and gain more customers.Following a time considering what I wanted to do with my career, I landed at CTG. I joined a team that was as passionate as I am about making a genuine difference, empowering landlords and residents with better connectivity and a focus on safety in their buildings, two hot button issues that need to be resolved and fast. My role was to work with the telcos that supplied the buildings that we transformed. Everyone needs better connectivity these days, and I was proud to be part of that work. Two happy years there came to an end in 2024.I've now joined Tekton Billing, as part of the team making billing better in the telecoms arena. For too long partners haven't had what they needed to bill and assess their services - that they are both buying and selling - and I'm proud to be part of the change and the future.Life isn't all about telecoms, thankfully. Away from the office, I write about music, I take photographs, I travel, and I collect vodka (yes, I have over 90 types at home. I even drink it on occasion). I also captain an unusual charity football team that plays in Whitby twice a year (COVID-excepting) and wear all black (and have been in the press more times than I care to count).
