From 2019 to 2020, I completed the IMPACT Graduate Program providing me with a comprehensive understanding of civil engineering design principles and the fundamentals of project management.During my time in this role, I have worked primarily within the defence and transport sectors on a wide variety of projects. My experience within the defence sector included SEA1000 (Future Submarine Program) Phases 1 and 2 at Osborne, South Australia. The objective of SEA1000 was to provide new ‘built, testing and integration facilities and infrastructure’ at Port Osborne in South Australia for the future Attack Class Submarines. I acted as the design engineer for the civil components for Phases 1 and 2 which included the design of external drainage, roof drainage and stormwater treatment systems. In addition to my work within the defence sector, I have contributed to a number of transport projects across Australia such as the Maidstone Tram Maintenance Facility as part of the North Western Program Alliance. A purpose-built tram maintenance facility located in the suburb of Maidstone for the maintenance and storage of 100 next generation trams. The North Western Program Alliance comprises of John Holland Group as principal contractor, Metro Trains Melbourne as the network operator and KBR as the principal designer. I was responsible for overseeing the civil design of the facility including stormwater drainage systems, water sensitive urban design, common service trenches, and pavements.
