I help my clients achieve success in complex district court and ITC litigation, often in conjunction with advising on and leveraging strategic use of post-grant proceedings. I represent Fortune 500 and multi-billion pre-IPO companies across the country, including in the Eastern District of Texas and the Northern District of California, drawing upon experience from more than 20 district court and ITC cases and more than 25 inter partes review proceedings. Notably, I was part of a Fish trial team that achieved a complete defense verdict on two patents before an East Texas jury, absolving our client of more than $800,000,000 in claimed liability. As an experienced trial litigator, I have put on fact witnesses and experts as well as argued in numerous hearings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. And with my experience as a former Federal Circuit law clerk to Circuit Judge Sharon Prost (now Chief Judge), I run cases not only with a goal of near-term victories, but also focused on staging and preserving issues to—when necessary—achieve longer-term victories that withstand or leverage appellate review.
