• Deliver international trade and market development services to grow South Australia’s exports.• Collaborate across DTI and other agencies to ensure relevant stakeholders are adequately managed and contribute to the development and implementation of trade and market development initiatives for South Australia’s priority sectors with focus on services and technology sector.• Conduct high-level, complex research and delivering business process improvement and program management activities which underpin and facilitate the achievement of agency business goals and objectives.

• Act as key point of contact in DTI for the China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, and Singapore offices to advise potential trade and investment leads and opportunities.• Contribute to ministerial and business missions and trade delegations, and deliver high level documents, briefings and ministerial responses that support South Australia’s international business development.• Develop and implement administrative systems, tools and evaluation processes that provide critical and sensitive information and advice that influences risk management and executive decision-making approach.

• Provide advice to Australian companies and startups on the Japanese government’s trade, investment, and development policies and programs. This includes consultations in high level corporate and government settings, and public speaking engagements.• Manage Japanese government projects based on relevant guidelines and legislation. This involves the planning, coordinating, and implementation of complex projects, for example, the promotion of Japan’s Quasi-Zenith Satellite System (QZSS) in Australia.• Facilitate Japanese investor requests of the Australian market, delivering commercial advice on the challenges and complexities of doing business in Australia. This also includes supporting incoming government visits, trade and business missions.
