Provided technical design and development services for Get Connected's next generation platform for their online, multi-tier digital services eCommerce site. Implemented complex user interaction using Spring MVC and Web Flow in an Enterprise Java environment, which consumed XML web services which comprised a business layer.

As a Principal Architect, was responsible for a rapidly growing 15,000+ user online community of pet owners. Provided technical leadership and implementation skills for much of the functionality on the site, to support business drivers such as user acquisition and retention. Engaged in design and implementation for both visual aspects (HTML/CSS) on the site as well as the middle-tier and backend components, based on Java technologies such as JBoss, Tomcat, Hibernate, Spring, Ant, as well as MySQL and various other systems.

Sole designer and developer on a project to build an administrative web application for an academic tutoring organization to better manage their progress reports and time logs, which were previously paper-based. The PHP web application is secured by an authentication layer that makes use of access permissions based on user roles. Time log and progress data is stored in a custom relational database using MySQL. In addition, the site allows for extracting accounting information for use in an offline accounting system.

Provided technical consultation and development for a post production audio house providing DVD audio mastering and mixing services for large Hollywood film clients. Responsible for several of their client-facing file transfer servers, which managed the transfer of several terabytes of audio and video data each week. Provided recommendations for upgrading and revitalizing their aging web-based sound effects and production music library which was in use by over a dozen editors at any time.

My roles on the various project teams put me in close contact with our clients as I was often responsible for discussing and clarifying requirements, performing design and code reviews with client technical teams, handling production environment emergencies, and general technical support for the client.
