I am currently employed full-time at the Trader Joe's in Wayne, NJ as the Meat & Seafood Section Leader. My duties and daily tasks include, but are not limited to analyzing past and current sales trends as a means to order and maintain all product pertinent to my section. I lead a small team in designing and maintaining price and marketing signage throughout my section, and assuring all information is both eye-catching and accurate. In addition to my responsibilities as Section Leader, I am constantly engaging with customers keeping them abreast to new and exciting products, as well as having vast product-knowledge to assist them in both shopping and cultivating delicious, affordable meals for their families.I began my career in retail customer service in 2003 at the now defunct Pathmark, and shifted over to Stop & Shop following the bankruptcy of Pathmark's parent company, A&P, in 2015. My duties and responsibilities have included, but have not been limited to:-Managing and supervising all cashiers, self checkout stations, and registers.-Conferring with customers by telephone and in person to provide information about products, sales, promotions, and purchases.-Exchanging merchandise for cash refunds, alternative products, and store credit.-Obtaining, gathering, and analyzing details of customer comments, complaints, and concerns.-Processing money orders and wire transfers using Western Union software.Additionally, I have been cross-trained in 5 departments, including the grocery department, wherein I have tracked and regulated inventory using a computer assisted ordering system.

-Managed guests’ dining experiences from beginning to end, ensuring customer satisfaction, including, but not limited to rectifying customer concerns using problem solving skills.-Took orders from patrons for food and beverages, entered orders into computers for transmission to kitchen staff, all in a timely and organized fashion while adhering to standard operating procedures.-Checked patrons' identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages.-Limited problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading customers to stop drinking, and/or arranging transportation for intoxicated patrons.-Oversaw and managed all bar activities and responsibilities, including organizing periodic team bar-cleans, stocking inventory of all alcohols, bar supplies, and recipe items, making and batching drinks, providing excellent customer service in a fast paced environment.I left my position at Outback Steakhouse in 2019 to become the full-time, live-in caretaker of my elderly grandfather.
