I have been an occupational therapist for 9+ years. I have worked in various settings including the school system, outpatient pediatric clinic, performed home visits, short-term rehabilitation centers, locked memory units, and most recently in the acute care setting. Throughout my career, I have challenged myself to continue to support my soft skill development. I have spent time on my state's association as a Co-Chair for SIS technology, I have set up a continuing education event with assistive technology demonstration and organized a group to present Covid in the acute care setting. I now lead the Acute Care Stroke Sub-Committee.Currently, I will be expanding my skill and knowledge set to include support for neurodiverse individuals in the workplace through Link OT. I look forward to further developing my comfort with virtual occupational therapy treatment.
