Led team of 12 associates to achieve over $7M in cost reduction, consistently hit 100% packaging specification completion before new model deadlines, and reduced domestic damages to an all-time low of 0.07%-- Engineering Standards --Evolved Honda's North American service part packaging standards; Launching collaborative implementation across internal stakeholders and 300+ external part suppliers-- Packaging Development -- Oversaw first-for-Honda implementation of global air ship ready packaging systems for hybrid supercar. Over 2,700 unique packaging specifications developed, tested, implemented, and documented. Including American Honda's first UN certified, DOT PHMSA 49 CFR compliant packaging for the lithium battery (IPU)-- Change Management / Core Values --Spearheaded executive level HR change management initiative to raise awareness on corporate philosophy and core values throughout division of 1,500 associates at all levels. Assembled core team of five to co-develop vision, strategy, marketing, and workshop content. Trained additional 30 facilitators to conduct training workshops concurrently across 13 regional locations.-- International Expansion --Project lead for successful start up of Honda de Mexico’s service part packaging team supporting new mass production plant. Successfully managed cost changes across a network of OEM part suppliers handling $40M in annual spend, achieving over $1.5M in cost savings and avoidance through effective negotiation strategies.-- Remanufacturing --Revived North American remanufactured product development process. Initiated R&D with Japan-sideengineers for drivetrain requirements, identified domestic remanufacturing suppliers, conducted selection via RFQs, facilitated contract agreements, and executed project schedules while attaining all milestones.-- Process Improvement --Serve as the Process Improvement team lead; developed and implemented a transformative program converting OEM supplier packaging from single-use corrugated to multi-use returnable containers. Setting the template for a program I would considerably expand in my following role within Honda's Packaging department.-- Crisis Mitigation --Managed the strategic consolidation of over 100 high-risk suppliers during the economic crisis to strengthen the logistics supply chain, stabilize product quality, and mitigate backorders on service parts.-- Cost Management --Created and implemented a standard departmental budget system to forecast and manage annual supplier cost increases, leveraging insights from current market conditions, historical trends, and future projections.-- Communication --Project updates using the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) methodology; providing all-level leadership alignment, transparency and continuous improvement in procurement cost down process & special projects.

Achieved over $2 million reduction in direct material & labor packaging costs through strategic specification redesigns and negotiations across 65 suppliers. -- Packaging Vendor QCD Management --Managed the packaging Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) performance across three contract packaging companies; successfully overseeing the bid and restructuring process to consolidate costs and specifications into a single contract packaging partner-- Community Partnership --Established a pioneering, co-packing partnership with a local nonprofit organization employing disabled workers. Led the development of packaging specification, material sourcing, and the integration of systems & processes between our company and the nonprofit; ensuring seamless operations and enabling the extension of their services to other departments' project needs within Honda (e.g., campaigns, kitting, remanufacturing, relabeling). -- Packaging Development --Developed, tested, and successfully implemented a new packaging system for cosmetic A-surface, high-cost, high-damage motorcycle fuel tanks. Promptly reducing damage rates from >10% to nearly zero; significantly enhancing product integrity, improving customer experience and reducing costs. United States Patent Application 20100126892.
