Adam Van Grack regularly assists individuals, corporations, small businesses, and nonprofits on a broad range of legal problems. Specifically, Adam has extensive experience in civil litigation, corporate law, property law, nonprofit law, sports law, and environmental matters. As a native Washingtonian who attended high school in Rockville, Adam regularly counsels numerous Montgomery County and DC-area businesses on various corporate and legal matters. Adam’s civil litigation practice addresses a broad range of legal issues at both the trial and appellate levels, including contract disputes, financial disputes, real estate matters, environmental matters, technology disputes, securities fraud, bankruptcy matters, liability problems, sports law, and liability/waiver disputes.Adam has been elected, and currently serves as, Councilmember for the City of Rockville. Adam has also previously been appointed by the Governor of Maryland to the Juvenile Justice Advisory Council and as Co-Chair of the Montgomery County Bar Association’s Legal Ethics Committee. Adam has also been a Board Member of Waterkeepers Chesapeake. Adam has also previously served as a professor at Washington University in St. Louis teaching land use, natural resources, and environmental law. Adam is active in the outdoor recreation community, and one of his passions is providing legal services to sports entities and nonprofits, including professional sports franchise owners, sports leagues, and U.S. Olympians. Adam has spent the last few decades on the executive boards of multiple organizations that focus on outdoor recreation, paddling, and environmental conservation. Adam was also the Chair of the U.S. Olympic National Governing Body for canoe and kayak sports.
