I was born in Edmonton, Alberta, and raised in Hamilton, Ontario. I have always had a passion for technology and all things cultural (art, history, games, politics). I am a lifelong learner and strive to improve myself every day. I first was introduced to programming early on in highschool, an easy class for me, I thought as I was already interested in computers. I quickly took to programming, largely making simple toy and joke programs for me and my friends in class. I only furthered my interest in the study of computers by working to find out just how far I could push the systems, causing the disk drives to open and close randomly; working around the web proxy to access game sites; and finding a way to create new admin accounts on the machine. and getting in a healthy amount of trouble in the process. With all the lessons I learned, with a fine lesson in ethics when working with computers, from my time I easily found myself working towards getting a degree in computer science. Once I started my education at Carleton, my interest only grew. Originally I was interested in pursuing game development and focused my initial studies there. When I took a discrete math class, I was introduced deeper into the field of computer security, a field that I had largely ignored up to this point, and I instantly fell in love with the study. From there my interests shifted completely, and I have been hooked on learning more and more ever since. Even today there is nothing I love more than diving deep into a topic and tinkering with new methods and techniques that I learn every day, and I love to continue sharing my passion for technology with whomever I work with. I am an easy going person, and I believe I would fit easily into any new group (with enough time to get to know everyone, of course). I always strive to see the best in people, and want to see others succeed alongside me. I’m good at working under stress, as I am good at keeping cool under pressure and always willing to change my perspective to tackle a problem from another angle.I am eagerly searching for a position in the software development and security fields.
