The organisation also delivers planning ahead services for people to make their Will, Power of Attorney and Enduring Guardianship Appointments. In our trustee role, NSW Trustee & Guardian also acts as an independent and impartial executor, administrator and/or trustee and attorney. The Public Guardian, through court or tribunal appointment, makes health and lifestyle decisions for people with a decision making disability, while also promoting the rights and interests of people with a disability.I was appointed by the Governor of NSW in January 2018 and hold the independent statutory office of Chief Executive Officer of NSW Trustee & Guardian. I am also the Commissioner of Dormant Funds, a statutory role in NSW.NSW Trustee & Guardian employs over 600 staff and manages in excess of $6bn of client assets.

Member of the board of directors responsible for leading a Health Promotion Charity aimed at building the resilience and self-acceptance of people of diverse sex, sexuality or gender (DSG) in Australia, and breaking the far too common cycle of negative self image, anxiety, and depression before it begins.StartOut Australia works to help DSG people reach their potential and live without the often preventable burden of poor mental health. We do this through building social inclusion, freedom from discrimination and economic participation.I co-founded the organisation in 2013 with a vision to use technology and mentoring as an early intervention for anxiety and depression among young DSG people with a focus on rural and regional Australia. The NSW State Emergency Service (SES) is an emergency and rescue service dedicated to assisting the community. It is made up almost entirely of volunteers, with 232 units located throughout New South Wales. The units comprise of approximately 10,000 volunteer members, who are easily identified by their distinctive orange overalls. Volunteer members are supported by approximately 300 staff across 17 regions and the State Headquarters.While the major responsibilities are for flood and storm operations, the SES also provides the majority of general rescue effort in the rural parts of the state. This includes road accident rescue, vertical rescue, bush search and rescue, evidence searches (both metropolitan and rural) and other forms of specialist rescue that may be required due to local threats. Volunteers in a number of isolated communities have been trained as Community First Responders by the Ambulance Service of New South Wales. The Service's trained rescuers also support the full-time emergency services during major disasters.The Commissioner, accountable to the Minister for Emergency Services, is the Chief Executive Officer for NSW State Emergency Service.

Leadership of the Relief and Recovery Directorate in the newly formed Emergency Management Victoria.Responsible for leading the reform of relief and recovery arrangements in Victoria as a part of the broader emergency management reform program. This includes creating a coherent strategic framework for relief and recovery coordination that provides improved scalablity and partnerships, streamlining governance and coordination arrangements, review, development and implementation of an end-to-end impact assessment system and developing crisis communications and community engagement arrangements.Chair of the Whole of Victorian Government Emergency Management Joint Public Information Committee, providing operational coordination of public information and messaging during emergencies.

Senior Manager with accountability to the Executive Director for delivery of Red Cross Emergency Services Strategy including change management, strategic innovation and implementation in Victoria. Responsible for high-level stakeholder management, including engagement and negotiation with State Government and statutory authorities. Leads a team of 3,000 staff and volunteers to help communities prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies.Periodically acted as Executive Director from 2009 - 2014.
