Founded an automotive lifestyle manufacturing company. Set the vision and direction for the company and acted as the head of product development releasing dozens of ultra-light carbon fiber body panels for import performance cars and developing hundreds of different men’s ring styles.• Led a project to develop and launch the world’s first line of carbon fiber rings. This project successfully introduced a new material to the jewelry industry and provided the world with a lightweight and durable alternative to classic jewelry options. Despite starting with a relatively small budget and few stakeholders the project sold hundreds of rings in the first year. Since 2004 we’ve tested and released dozens of new designs with hundreds of possible variations. UCF has sold nearly 10,000 rings since 2003. • Led a project to leverage vacuum infusion molding technology from the aerospace industry to create a line of ultra-lightweight carbon fiber body panels for weekend racers under the LighterFaster brand. Responsible for managing all aspects of the product lifecycle. Led all marketing efforts using classic and guerilla marketing strategies to increase profits. • Analyzed KPIs to monitor LighterFaster profitability. Used data to allocate marketing resources to the highest-performing products. • Surveyed customers to determine what their user experience was like. Enthusiastically acted on customer feedback to implement needed changes. Developed SOPs and lean manufacturing standards to maximize customer satisfaction and overall profitability.

• Responsible for the inspection of each finished part as it was manufactured. Checked for both structural and cosmetic defects. MQC was a Tier 2 supplier for GM. The 50th anniversary Corvette project was the first time carbon fiber was used by a major manufacturer for a class A body panel.• Mapped and repaired any defects found so the quality engineer could track improvement.• Worked closely with the engineering department to improve the as-molded Class A surface finish. Helped create work instructions to ensure we achieved process control. Helped prove production process prior to implementation.• Recorded and repaired any defects found and gave feedback to the engineering department.• Responsible for operating a high-pressure autoclave making sure the heat and pressure requirements were met.• Carbon prepreg tape layup over composite pre-forms and into Invar steel molds.
