Profile bio

About Andrew Danforth

I am a software and systems engineering principal with robust technical, engineering, and entrepreneurial skills. I have nineteen years of industry experience as a self-motivated and results driven Internet technologist. I have also had a passion for digital security since I started working with computers.I spent the first part of my career at TWC as a software engineering lead responsible for development of a variety of internal products including TWC’s entirely home grown DOCSIS and PacketCable provisioning platform, DHCP lease aggregation solution, and walled garden. I later led development of the in-house PacketCable 2.0 device management product which has evolved to become a centralized protocol agnostic platform for CPE management.I moved to an architecture role in early 2012. In this position I have focused primarily on overall device provisioning architecture and strategy. This involves regular collaboration with product and engineering teams on solutions requirements, architecture, and design. Lately I have been focused on next-generation edge CPE provisioning and management using TR-069. I have worked closely with the Video engineering team to design and prototype the management and authentication flows for IP video CPE. I am also the Systems lead for nearly all things IPv6. I continue to guide and mentor the development team responsible for Device Management.I enjoy software development in a variety of languages. Recently most of my programming has been in Ruby (and JRuby), C++, Lua, and JavaScript (node.js, Angular). I'm also an experienced Perl and C developer.

Listed skills include Software Development, Tcp/Ip, Perl, Docsis, and 47 others.
