I fell in love with robotics in high school when my FIRST robotics team built a frisbee-tossing robot - I loved working in a team to design, build, and program a robot. I have since gained ten years of experience working in the fields of applied mathematics and robotics, and have spent the last four years designing provably robust control algorithms for biologically-inspired humanoid robots.My top skills are the soft ones which don't come across on a resume: I excel at the engineering design process, at critical thinking, and at problem solving; I am a great communicator and a skilled teacher; I am a reliable colleague who always gets the job done; and I am a compassionate and kind teammate who loves working with others. Most of all, I am astoundingly good at learning anything exceedingly quickly. I am a self-professed jack-of-all-trades who has worked as a mathematician, roboticist, software developer, musician, mentor, Jiu-Jitsu instructor, and yoga teacher. No matter what role I take on, I guarantee my team and I will succeed together.
