Adaora Rosemary Ejikeme, an Epidemiologist at Africa CDC is tasked with managing event-based surveillance and other public health data and information, for public health events within Africa and outside Africa. She has 10+ years of expertise in Public Health focusing on disease surveillance, emergency preparedness and response, Immunization, Antimicrobial Resistance, One Health, and research.Before joining Africa CDC, she earned an MPH in Laboratory Epidemiology Practice from University of Ibadan, Nigeria, with certifications as Field Epidemiologist by NFELTP and US-CDC. She was the Project Manager, Pan Respiratory Disease Surveillance at the Nigeria Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Adaora has authored/co-authored several peer-reviewed journal articles and received recognition for her outstanding contributions, including award of second-best oral presentation at the Nigerian Conference of Applied and Field Epidemiology in 2021. With dedication and significant contributions to Global Health Security, Adaora remains passionate about making a difference in the well-being of communities.
