Senior Commodity Trader
Current- Manage a commodities portfolio of over $5 million spread across entire South Pakistan starting from Upper Sindh to Karachi.- Negotiate the purchase and sale of rice, wheat, grain, corn & other commodities.- Analyse the market trends affecting the prices & stock levels of key commodities including wheat, flour, and related products.- Collaborate with suppliers, brokers, and other trading partners to secure favourable terms and pricing.- Manage a team of 10 people including Food Safety Managers, Market Analysts, Sales Executives to boost the trade.- Source protein meals, screenings, mill feeds & other ingredients as needed from local producers.Develop and implement risk management strategies to protect against market volatility and minimize potential losses.- Extract samples and forwards them to local grain exchange for analysis and certification of moisture and protein content.- Reviews analysis to ascertain amount of moisture and protein present in sample.
