Claims management is set of various Microservices and Claims App which is used by associates in Walmart stores to process the items. Any item that leaves the store without a customer purchasing it goes through Claims in the backroom. Some reasons an item might pass through claims are that it was returned defective by a customer, it is overstock leaving the store, it is being recalled, store neglect caused the product to be damaged, and many more reasons. The claims app helps associates decide how an item that can't be sold normally should leave the store.I have been responsible for managing the SDLC for Claims applications as given below :1. Disposition service which provides dispositions for an item which needs to be processed. It uses multiple downstream services as given below to fetch the information and feeds this information to rules engine which determines the most favorable disposition for an item: Vendor Agreement service Item query service Associate service Store Service Markdown service2. Claims service which is used to process claims filed with return center or supplier.3. Donation service which processes the items which are to be donated4. Disposal service which processes the items which are to be disposed. 5. MTR (Merchandise Transfer Record) service which processes the items which need to be transferred from Walmart Store to another Store or Distribution Center
