As a recent graduate with a BS in chemical engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, I am passionate about applying my knowledge and skills to solve real-world problems and create innovative solutions. Throughout my undergraduate career, I have completed multiple courses and projects in polymer science, process control, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and reaction engineering.In the summer of 2023, I had the opportunity to work as a process development engineering intern at Dexcom, a leading company in continuous glucose monitoring devices. There, I performed characterization experiments on polymer solutions and assisted in test method development for a laser diffraction particle size analyzer. I also developed my presentation skills by delivering reports and recommendations to senior engineers and managers. Prior to pursuing my degree, I served as a Fire Control Marine in the United States Marine Corps for four years. I thrived in high-stress environments and held senior leadership positions as a junior Marine. As the primary AFATDS operator, I calculated firing data for over 4,000 artillery projectiles, and supervised the safe firing of 3,391 projectiles as the assistant battery operations chief. I am looking for opportunities to grow my skills as an engineer and as a leader, and to contribute to the advancement of technology and society. I am a collaborative problem solver, a quick learner, and a motivated team player. I value integrity, excellence, and innovation, and I am eager to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
