In the 9th grade, I faced failure, flunking 4 subjects. That setback sparked a drive in me to turn things around. By the 12th grade, I became a subject topper in Informatics Practice, coding an accounting program on Fox Pro. Life then took me on a diverse journey—from not pursuing BCA rather pursuing and dropping out of CA, to exploring India and selling credit cards. It was a year of exploration and finding my “why.”Eventually, I pursued post-graduation, from being the last student to secure an internship to the first to land a job offer, six months before placements even began. Over 14+ years in HR, I’ve learned that Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is the invisible fifth pillar of any successful organization.
