INTEGRATION OF SHARED PARKING AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION FOR SUSTAINABLE MOBILITYChallenge Lab was started by John Holmberg in 2014 in collaboration with Chalmers University of Technology. It is a neutral arena for students where research, education, and innovation are merged to develop niche innovation to bring systemic transition towards the sustainable society.The sustainability-driven innovation focuses 3 key sectors: urban development, mobility & circular economy, selected students with different academic and ethnic background, were trained with tools in leadership and stakeholder management for sustainability transitions. Mobility-as-a-service (MaaS) inspired research combines shared parking and public transportation to promote sustainable travel behavior and parking resource efficiency. Shared parking: Peer-to-peer sharing of parking spaces by individuals or organizations when it is vacant.- Inspired by Swedish national climate goals, the research draws insights from the synthesis of theories like Multi-level perspectives (F Geels), System thinking, Backcasting methodology (John Holmberg), and Sustainable Business model. - The research reflects upon the user behavioural lock-ins, institutional barriers, and societal regimes on transportation that is hindering the growth of innovation in mobility. - The research portrays the value proposition of the proposed MaaS concept to customers (to meet their travel needs), stakeholders and society in the form of Value Proposition Canvas (VPC).Stakeholders involved: Real estate, public transportation, public parking, research institute,traffic planner, academic institution, and a startup.Methodology: Desktop study, qualitative research, workshop, interview, questionnaire and SWOT analysis

ApParkingspot Nordic is a pioneer in introducing shared parking to the Swedish mobility market. With an ambition to be the most intelligent parking provider in Sweden, the start-up provides a multi-sided digital platform for manual and automated sharing/renting of parking. Roles & responsibilities:- Market analysis of smart parking solutions, urban mobility, and regulations and prospective user behavior analysis.- Project planning and coordination with the team and stakeholders.- Evaluating strategic business collaborations with real estate owners, mobility experts, and investment opportunities. - Organizing stakeholder meetings, workshops, and foster stakeholder relations. - Assisting the CEO with funding applications, pitch presentations, marketing material, and website development.- Traveling, attending start-up events and investment fairs. Achievements:- Led to strategic collaborations with certain real estate firm, a research institute, and IBM start-up unit. - Successful applications to start-up events which created exposure for the start-up among media and investors: 1) Top 300 into Wolves summit - 2018, Poland. 2) Top 9 in Nordic Road Show - 2018, Denmark.- Speaker at an annual event organized by Mobile Heights Theme: Future Digital Society & Mobility – Life in Connected City. Presented topic – Parking as a Sustainable Resource (Sharing economy, Digitization & Future Mobility Ecosystem).Here, the experience was exciting which instilled knowledge on start-up work culture including the opportunities for novel ideas as well as risks and challenges. Cross-functional communication with colleagues, experts, clients, and daily challenges infused broad knowledge on the disruptive sector mobility also developed business and management skills.

CTMI is an Indian Steam turbine manufacturing company providing cutting edge power and energy solutions. The organization offer range of tailored products from 5 kW to 30 MW for co-generation and captive power plants. Started my career as a Graduate trainee and ended it in a high note as Sales and Marketing Engineer. The journey was fun, enlightening and empowering which unlocked multiple opportunities to technical and ethical learning. This roller coaster ride from college student to a professional was tolerated and assisted by colleagues, my manager, CEO, and other executives. Responsibilities:During my career, I was networking internally and externally in gathering necessary product information for customers and building customer relationships. Then collaborated with industry experts and conducted market research to tap the niche market of sustainable power production for single stage steam turbines. With the Manager's support, I represented the organization in various energy and technological expo's, which resulted in collaboration and market expansion. One of the key contribution was bilateral agreement with a Colombian energy firm. Meanwhile, traveling, organizing meetings, assisting advertising and promotional activities improved my leadership, communication, and marketing skills.Achievements:With senior engineers support, I developed a prototype and 3D model of steam turbine and power generation units for Biomass Power plant, Captive Power plants, using Solid Works and Auto CAD which enhanced my designing skills. One of the highlight of my career was learning and implementing Quality and Environmental Management Systems which expanded my horizons into understanding ISO systems. The implementation enhanced the product quality, environmental performance and efficient use of resources. Nevertheless, the first career experience has been phenomenal in setting a strong base for my career.
