Adaugo Trinitas Isaac is a social change advocate, gender specialist, data education champion, project coordinator, and management consultant. Over the last 10 years, she has worked on innovative research, health and safety programs, agriculture projects, digital technology, and data storytelling initiatives, across Africa.In 2015, Adaugo led a regional development project for Clinton Health Access Initiative, to advocate for the management of diarrhea in children under 5. During the project, she worked with her team to empower over 10,000 women across 200 wards/communities and 23 local governments in Rivers State, Nigeria over a 6 months period. Between 2014 and 2015, she also championed an environmental monitoring project funded by the Catholic Organisation for Relief and Development Aid, which led to immediate responses to a range of environmental pollutions detected in the Niger Delta region. She also led developmental projects funded by Amnesty International, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, International Institute of Tropical Agriculture, led strategic business consulting initiatives for the National Agricultural Seed Council, In 2018, she founded a Nigerian-based non-governmental organization, Steer Initiative, focused on supporting marginalized community members with access to education and empowering local schools with access to technology and data skills for education.From 2020 to 2021 she led CfA’s WanaData women data science/storytelling network across the seven African countries, and also managed the 30,000+ member Hacks/Hackers community of digital journalists and ‘hacktivists’. She also supported CfA’s StoryLab virtual newsroom, which gives WanaData and other CfA journalism fellows story production support from CfA’s in-house editors, copyeditors, designers, and data/tech teams. Adaugo holds a Bachelors Degree in Cell Biology from the University of Lagos and a Master’s degree in Oil and Gas Management from Coventry University, UK. She is also an Alumna of London School of Business and FInance where she took a course in Strategic Business Planning. As a result of her commitment to social change she emerged a finalist in McKinsey's Next Generation Women Leaders Award 2017.
