Agro-Shrub Alliance provides research and technical training on shrub-based farming to smallholder farming families across the West African Sahel.

Oversees the institute’s day-to-day operations including staff, budget, and space. Lead the development and execution of a research portfolio at the nexus of food and water including project design, proposal development, project management, and mobilization of faculty, staff, external partners, and resources. Coordinates with other team members to ensure all Global Water Institute projects are completed on time and within budget. Collaborates with GWI director and other staff to develop long-term strategies for executing the strategic plan and for ensuring institute sustainability.

Responsible for developing a portfolio of projects at the nexus of food, energy, and WASH including landscape analyses to identify partners and funding opportunities, relationship and partnership development codified in MOUs and teaming agreements, develop and execute fundraising strategies to support projects, execute and manage project operations often traveling to field locations in Sub-Saharan Africa along with remote management of field teams, and executing monitoring, evaluation, and learning for real-time incorporation of lessons learned.
