I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) writer, video producer, photographer, trained project manager, and advocacy communications strategist with 15 years of experience in media. As national communications lead for Earthjustice's Healthy Communities program, I manage a team of four communication strategists and coordinate advocacy communication for more than two dozen cases. Moreover, I've been a commentator for various outlets, including CNN, Univision, Telemundo, EFE, and Voice of America. I have a Masters of Science degree in Journalism from Columbia University, and a B.A. in Political Science and International Relations from the University of California, San Diego. Prior to working in environmental communications, I was a journalist and photographer for nearly a decade. My work appeared in the Washington Post, the Miami Herald, the Sacramento Bee, The Charlotte Observer, The Oregonian, ThinkProgress and the Imperial Valley Press, to name a few; while my articles and photos have been referenced in numerous publications and websites.My documentary "El Field,"​ achieved theatrical release in all of Mexico, and had its U.S. premiere in New York MoMA's Museum in 2012, as part of the museum's documentary festival. This movie was also the official selection of various film festivals, including the renowned Morelia International Film Festival, one of the most important film festivals in Latin America.
