A large part of my current role is focused on developing innovative decision support and asset management solutions that fuse together urban drainage expert knowledge with data science.

I was responsible for the delivery of the Minworth Sewerage Management Plan (Birmingham and the Black Country) for Severn Trent Water and led a team of 5 modellers. The focus of this project was on the upgrade of the 53 former DAP models that make up the Minworth SMP catchment to the current modelling specification and the utilisation of this model for mapping risks across the catchment to drive investment in AMP6.Additionally we provided modelling support for Asset Creation, Strategies and Service Delivery in order to deliver both capital and operational projects. The final catchment model is of the order of 130,000 nodes and will be used in AMP6 to develop the PR19 Business Plan case for the long term strategy for the catchment.

- Telford drainage area planning (DAP) studies Completed full DAP process for north and south Telford DAPs from initial scoping, model build and verification through to needs and options assessments- Northern Tame Urban Pollution Management (UPM) Secondment into severn trent engineering team to support the development of multiple storage tanks (37,000m3 total) to meet water quality targets in the River Tame- leamington Spa 2D modelling Developed integrated sewer and 2D overland flow model to assess flooding from multiple sources. Included the development of novel approach to modelling 2d rural runoff.
