About Audri Beugelsdijk

A Navy veteran herself, Audri earned the Navy Club of the United States of America Military Excellence Award and served four years in the cryptology field before earning a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Hawaiʻi - West Oʻahu and a master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Phoenix. She has completed advanced training in death, dying, and bereavement through the Center for Loss & Life Transition and is a member of the Association for Death Education and Counseling (ADEC), the National Alliance of Grieving Children (NAGC), and the American Psychological Association (APA). As a leader and grief educator, she has spoken on a broad variety of grief-related and resilience-based topics, both via workshops and podcasts, has presented within the TAPS Institute for Hope and Healing, and has presented through TEDx on the importance of aligning yourself with others for missions larger than self. She is passionate about educating others on bereavement and about developing and providing impactful grief programming geared toward helping adults and children heal after traumatic loss. Audri came to TAPS as a survivor in March 1997 after her husband CTRSN Jason Springer, USN, was lost at sea in the Pacific from the USS Kinkaid. Her work honors her late husband and is a testament to her passion for the TAPS mission and her wish to offer a place of hope and healing for grieving military families.
