I have worked in Education since 1994 following a military career in the Royal Engineers. After leaving the Army I initially spent 5 years at the Zoology Department at Oxford University before becoming Bursar of Headington School Oxford. Since 2005 I have gained further wide experience of independent schools through locum bursar appointments at schools of all sizes, including spells at Sherborne School and Marlborough College, and through appraisals, reviews and consultancy advice at more than 17 other schools. I am a governor of The King’s School Gloucester and of Plymouth College.Currently I am working as an associate with Aspirance Leadership Services which supports schools and colleges in the recruitment and development of their senior teaching and non-teaching staff.
