Steadfast comes alongside women as they explore their stories to discover healing, growth, and freedom. As a Story Facilitator, Addie offers: individual storywork, story groups, and workshops all rooted in narrative-focused trauma care and the evidence-based research on healing from trauma.More on These Offerings: Individual story work is offered virtually. Women who have experienced subtle, covert harm find the one-on-one format and pace to be particularly effective for their healing journey. In addition, women who have experienced overt harm also find this format helpful when they are ready to uncover the set-up and nuance of the harm they endured. Story groups are offered both virtually and in-person (Atlanta, GA), on various topics including: - Explore Your Story (introduction to story work: no experience needed) - Coming Back to Your Body After Trauma (prior story work experience recommended)- Survivors' Circle: Healing from Sexual Abuse & Violation (customized curriculum for survivors of sexual exploitation & trafficking. Addie partners with non-profits serving this community to provide this type of storygroup)- Engaging Whiteness (cultural identity development: some prior story work experience required)* Each of these story groups is also available in a weekend intensive or retreat format (Location can be customized).

Court Advocacy:- Interviewed and screened prospective participants for GEMS' Alternative to Incarceration (ATI) program- Presented written and verbal reports to the court regarding participant’s progress- Maintained and recorded accurate information of participant’s court cases- Served as liaison between GEMs and members of the Criminal Court systems Case Management, Counseling and Crisis Intervention:- Conducted intake and follow-up meetings with all individuals court mandated to GEMS- Developed individualized service plans for active ATI participants and supported its realization- Met with participants on a weekly basis to identify service needs and provide support- Provided, as needed, crisis intervention services during and after regular work hours- Completed progress/case notes and maintain participant records- Facilitated educational, recreational, or therapeutic groups for both mandated and non-mandated GEMS members

Case Management & Court Advocacy - Provided case management & crisis response services for trafficking survivors: sex & labor trafficking, foreign nationals & US citizens, adults & minors- Conducted human trafficking assessments with referrals from law enforcement, medical providers, etc.- Implemented survivor services from a trauma-informed, culturally-sensitive, and strengths-based approach - Facilitated outreach sessions in jail for increased victim identification- Managed partnerships with pro-bono legal partners and oversaw legal referral processGrant Monitoring & Reporting- Executed monthly documentation for program evaluation and grant reporting (USCRI and OVC)- Tracked client outcomes and progress daily in Salesforce Training & Capacity Building- Provided consultation for another anti-trafficking organization, incorporating programming recommendations and change management support (Jan-April 2016)- Conducted trainings on the dynamics of trafficking and victim identification for school administrators and counselors, probation officers, and other social services staff

Communications - Executed weekly communications via Mailchimp, Facebook, and website - Handled communications and collaboration efforts with community partnersEvent Planning- Planned and coordinated lodging, food, transportation, and registration for a retreat with 186 participants- Organized booking, scheduling, supplies, and food for monthly workshops - Coordinated volunteers and maintained the budget for the weekly meal (serving 300 people)

Human Trafficking Summer Research Fellowship, Richmond, VA. Summer 2012● Conducted IRB approved research through a literature review and qualitative interviews with 18 service providers working with trafficking survivors across the U.S. ● Produced 50-page research paper titled: An Individualized Continuum of Care: A Study on the Nature of Service Provision for Survivors of Human Trafficking in the United StatesIndependent Field Research, Cape Town, South Africa. November 2011● Conducted IRB approved research through a synthesis of available literature and qualitative field interviews with the staff of 7 non-government organizations● Produced 62-page research paper titled: Preventing the Enslavement and Exploitation of: A Look at the Causes of Child Trafficking in South Africa and The Prevention Initiatives of NGOs in the Western Cape
