Hi, my name is Addie Collard! I am currently a dedicated student at Ohio University pursuing a degree in theater with a minor in social work. With a passion for mental health and the performing arts, my ultimate goal is to become a mental health therapist specializing in supporting performing artists. Specifically, I aim to work with individuals who struggle with eating disorders and disordered eating behaviors, providing them with the necessary support and guidance.Currently, I am working on creating a streamlined mental health training for Greek Life at Ohio University. By implementing this program, I hope to enhance the well-being and mental health of Greek Life members, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.Additionally, I am deeply interested in intimacy choreography as well as theater education through a trauma-informed lens. I believe in the power of theater as a transformative tool and aim to incorporate trauma-informed practices into theater education, creating a safe and empowering space for all participants.With a strong academic background in theater and social work, coupled with my passion for mental health advocacy, I am committed to making a positive impact in the lives of performing artists. I am eager to connect with like-minded professionals and organizations to collaborate and contribute to the field of mental health therapy within the performing arts industry.
