Working alongside a wonderful team (including designers, developers and product managers) at the digital product development agency, Carbon Five, I contributed to the Proof of Concept for an enterprise software product for DailyPay as well as a redesign of the overall design system and website for the Ad Council. I worked on all aspects of design including UX, UI, creating clear style guides, research, pairing with developers, creating dynamic presentations and working directly with clients. One of the primary ways of working at C5 is the Agile process which I found extremely useful in producing quality results in short lead-times.

Working on the Squarespace Image Editor as the lead designer during my summer internship, I was able to contribute to a successfully shipped final product through research, ideation, wireframing, user testing, prototyping and visual design. We took an outdated product and completely redesigned it to be more congruous visually and experientially with the Squarespace brand. It is a product used by countless Squarespace customers.

Clients include Concepts Brand (Cambridge, MA), Ernest Alexander (NYC), Asics Brand (Japan), Sperry USA, Maxx & Unicorn (NYC).

I designed innovative J Crew original men's accessories and footwear as well as collaborating with some of the world's best brands (Alden, New Balance, Vans, Red Wing, Tourneau, Ebbets Field Flannels, Billykirk, Steele Canvas, Alfred Sargent, Timex, Corgi, Quoddy, Chippewa) in creating exclusive special make up products. In my five year stint there as Design Director of Accessories and Footwear, we saw steady year to year comps and explosive gains in the footwear department in particular. Some of my proudest work done at J Crew were the sneaker collabs with New Balance and Asics. I worked with the marketing and digital strategy teams on crafting compelling campaigns around beautiful product that put J Crew on the map as a sneaker destination. It went from 8 months of supply for new sneaker styles to sold out in a matter of hours.

I designed and oversaw the RRL Accessories and Footwear (some might say) in its golden era. We designed with immaculate attention to detail, used the highest quality materials and worked with the finest artisans in Italy and the USA. I am very proud of the work done in this period of my career.

I get to create highly detailed durable goods (bags, belts, small leather goods, jewelry, bandanas) with an authentic vintage look. My aim is to create items like they did in the 'old days', with true attention to detail and strength to last a lifetime. It is truly enjoyable to do what I do at RRL.
