Addik, known as 1/5th of Amsterdam based 'KD Soundsystem', travels around the world exploring and expanding his musical grounds. Playing from Abba to Beenie Man and has therefore many clients. Whether it's a corporate event for Tony's Chocolonely, Leaseplan or Adyen; a big festival like Antilliaanse Feesten, Wobble Festa Rio De Janeiro, Bevrijdingspop Haarlem or restaurants like El Pastor London, Karma Kebab Utrecht and De Toneelschuur in Haarlem; Addik is their DJ.The journey with KD Soundsystem (as founder and DJ for the crew) started with a trip to Jamaica, in the beginning of 2015. The first steps in the world of dancehall brought him (alongside KD Soundsystem) in the middle of Kingston's vibrant music scene. Marcia Griffiths, of all names, invited him and his companion over to the annual Bob Marley Birthday Bash in Jamaica's capital. The love for Dancehall, Reggae, airhorns and whistles grew as quick as his connections. Mr Lexx, Ce'Cile, Esco, The Wixard and many more got voiced on their riddims that first year.Exploring dancehall in Jamaica was just a first small step in a neverending story. Until now, Addik travelled alone and together with KD to places such as Brasil, Cuba, The Gambia, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Miami and London.
