The Youth Action Committee aims to empower young adults to learn from others, share their thinking, and promote equity in the community. We also focus on mental health and promote wellness in students.● Attended virtual and in-person meetings led by the program director once monthly.● Collaborated with students to develop marketing programs to promote SCP events.● Assisted in writing a grant for funding in 2023.● Hosted a mental health event for the local community of Detroit.

SpringHill Day Camp brings the SpringHill experience to communities throughout the Midwest. They partner with local churches to provide the fun and excitement of SpringHill to kids pre-K – 5th grade. As a camp counselor, I planned and supervised a group of children for two weeks in the summer.

At Flower Power, I worked an estimated 10 hours per week. I collaborated with two other high school students and supervised children attending instructional programs.● Assisted owner with cooking instruction for campers.● Led campers in group activities such as creating a menu, outdoor games, and crafts.
