Hello! My name is Addi McDowell. I am currently attending Kennesaw State University as a History major with minors in Leadership (PEGS), Ancient and Modern Classics, Public History, and Gender and Women's Studies. I currently plan to get a Masters Library Sciences and Ancient History and Classics and a Ph.D. in Ancient History and Classics. I would like to pursue a career in Rare Book Curation. Academically, I would like to specialize in the history of women in ancient civilizations and their depictions in literature.I love to write, so I know that I will be an author, too. Due to my interest in politics, I have decided to write about politically relevant issues in the context of my historical specialization. I have already begun work on my debut title "Medea: The Feminist" and I am planning another about history education reform in the United States. The goal is to finish both of these before graduating from Kennesaw State University. My experience as a preschool teacher has also inspired me to write children's books about historical and current-issue topics as well.
