I analyze aerosol pollution data to detect pollution trends in Acadia National Park, Maine. Collaborating closely with Dr. Armin Sorooshian at the University of Arizona, I am refining my technical writing and data analysis skills as well as deepening my knowledge of the environmental impacts of PM10 and PM2.5. My research involves comparing data from various credible sources and utilizing software like Excel and MATLAB to formulate hypotheses explaining the increases in particulate matter on specific days.

Being a part of the Harm Reduction Lab at the University of Arizona has allowed me to contribute to an important research initiative as well as significantly improve my communication skills. Conducting phone calls to obtain data for the study has strengthened my ability to convey information effectively as well as grown my confidence in engaging with a diverse group of people. This opportunity has also provided a practical application of my communication proficiency in a real-world setting.

As a Target Team Member, I assist guests with any problem they have at the Guest Service desk and ensure that I was quick to figure out a plan to help them as efficiently as possible. I also worked as a cashier and assisted any guests with disabilities with their shopping around the store. I developed strong communication, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills throughout my career.

Created solutions for various process control projects around the Kennecott Smelter. 1. Improved the data resolution of over 1300 PI Tags by optimizing the compression and exception settings.2. Created an Excel tool for the process control team to identify and organize control room alarm flood events3. Identified and documented over 2500 alarms in May with 7 action plans to suppress nonactionable alarms.4. Supported improvement to an operating unit's mass balance by sizing and recommending an upgraded oxygen flowmeter.5. Assisted with instrumentation projects that increased process and employee safety.
