- Assist Event Manager with the coordination of all aspects of Business Journal events- Alongside the Events Manager, coordinate set up with any vendors, caterers, AV, etc. the day before or well in advance of day of events- Liaise with Advertising department pre-event for sponsor responsibilities, tables and signage, giveaways, premium table locations, parking, etc.- Oversee transportation of key event collateral to event and post event- Work with Events Manager to collaborate with Editorial/Creative departments on the script, slide show, sponsor presentations and main program- Along with Events Manager and Editor-in-Chief, communicate with judges, nominees, finalists, panelists, etc. prior to events. Includes researching contact information for event finalists online and calling down the list of finalists- Assist Events Manager with preparing pre and post event promotions through house ads, direct mail, and broadcast emails to attendees. Collaborate with Events Manager and with Creative department in creating all promotional material (event signage, programs, power points, creative for name tags, etc.) to maintain integrity and image of HBJ brand- Work with Editorial department to promote nominations through social media, targeting key partnerships, marketing campaigns and scheduling house ads- Manage online registration site and post upcoming events at least 6 months prior to the event

- Planed a variety of events within attention to a budget of $61,600 and time constraints- Booked venues and scheduled speakers- Researched, negotiated and managed vendors relationships (catering, decorators, musicians etc.) - Completed final “walk-through” (e.g. tables, technology) to ensure standards are met- Oversaw event happenings and acted quickly to resolve problems- Evaluated event’s success and submit reports
