About Addison Stevens

I’m a lot of things. Throughout my career I’ve been a marketer, a strategist, a writer, a consultant, and an organizational leader. I’ve been an individual contributor and I’ve built creative teams from the ground up. I’ve written mission-critical communications for c-suite executives and silly tweets from the point of view of a “laser-shark” (feel free to ask me about that one). My experiences are vast and varied, but they all have one thing in common: they are all about people. As a marketer and strategist I’ve helped some of the world’s biggest technology brands identify their people, understand how to talk to them, where to reach them, and how to motivate them to buy. I’ve architected campaigns and go-to-market strategies. I’ve translated audience insights into creative concepts. And I’ve built strategies that drive action—not just awareness. As a writer and content strategist and I’ve helped brands build meaningful connections with their people. Through snappy copy or long-form stories, I’ve helped tech companies make complex products or ideas feel accessible, relatable, easily-understood; and most importantly: human. As an organizational leader I’ve designed creative teams and managed some incredibly talented people. I’ve built creative teams from the ground up, working to build hiring plans, resourcing models, and growth paths. I've spent a large part of my career helping other people build theirs; it’s fulfilling and rewarding. In sum, I’m all about people. And whether that be helping companies better understand their customers or empower their own teams, I’d love to talk about people with you.

Addison Stevens Work Experience Details
  • The Channel Company
    Senior Content Strategist
The Channel Company Jun 2021 - Present
    Seattle, Washington, United States
Audienz joined The Channel Company (TCC) in 2021. As a part of that organizational change, I stepped into a larger and more complex role. As the Senior Content Strategist I look left to right across our organization’s entire client portfolio. I jump into complex projects and help untangle challenges for our clients, building strategies that help achieve their goals. I build content strategies—the right audience, with the right message, at the right time. I then often execute on that strategy (read: write the things) or Creative Direct our creatives/consultants as they execute against my plan. It’s complicated, challenging, and a lot of fun.
  • Audienz Marketing
    Senior Manager Of Creative Services
    Audienz Marketing Oct 2019 - Jun 2021
    Seattle, Washington, United States
As the Senior Manager of Creative Services I lead the entire creative team. This team spanned designers, videographers, writers, and editors (and our vast pipeline of external freelancers). I helped pitch work, build execution teams, and oversee projects as they went from messy brainstorm to polished final product. I helped build growth paths for my team and supported their development (often partnering with our Learning and Development department to create trainings to improve content development both within my team and across the organization). In this role I gained experience building a team from the ground floor. On this team, and every other I’ve had the pleasure of leading, I fostered a culture of openness, respect, and fun. In other words, I build teams that are great to work for and with.
  • Audienz Marketing
    Lead Writer
    Audienz Marketing Oct 2018 - Oct 2019
    Seattle, Washington, United States
As the Lead Writer I managed a team of writers and editors that worked cross-functionally (aka, everywhere across the organization all at once). I managed the resourcing of all the writers and oversaw all creative work, making sure all content “hit the brief” and aligned to our clients’ goals.
  • Audienz Marketing
    Writer
    Audienz Marketing Oct 2017 - Oct 2018
    Seattle, Washington, United States
As a Writer I worked across every team and every client. I wrote both internal/business communications (i.e., executive comms, sales enablement, internal playbooks, and partner-marketing campaigns) and external marketing content (i.e., landing pages, ebooks, infographics, emails, etc.). Everything I write is focused on driving action and creating meaningful connections between brands and their people.
  • Rational Interaction
    Strategy And Planning
    Rational Interaction Feb 2017 - Jul 2017
    Greater Seattle Area
As a strategist and planner at Rational, I was all about “aha moments.” I researched, built audience insights, and dove into competitive analysis. These insights were then translated into creative and go-to-market opportunities that meant big wins for our clients.
  • Rational Interaction
    Director Of Rational Marketing
    Rational Interaction Sep 2015 - Feb 2017
    Greater Seattle Area
As the Director of Rational Marketing for Rational Interaction I helped articulate and promote the agency’s brand. In addition to building brand architecture and guidelines, I oversaw a complete overhaul and redesign of the company website. I managed the project and team end-to-end, and launched in under a 6-month timeline. I piloted the company’s first out-bound marketing campaign, focused on a key service offering—Social Customer Care. I procured original industry research and wrote an 18-page field guide based on the results. This guide lived as a part of a fully integrated campaign that drove over 270 new leads for the company. In conjunction, I also managed a PR team that procured placements for the agency in top publications, including Adweek. During this special assignment, I learned how to be extremely scrappy, manage complex stakeholder relationships, and build programmatic charters and roadmaps.
  • Rational Interaction
    Digital Marketing Manager
    Rational Interaction Jan 2014 - Sep 2015
    Greater Seattle Area
As a Digital Marketing Manager I was responsible for…all the things. I developed, implemented, tracked, and optimized campaigns across all digital channels. These channels included (but are not limited to): display, SEO/SEM, paid and organic social, landing page environments, blogs, eBooks, whitepapers, and Infographics. I gained not only deep understandings of the channels individually, but how those channels work together—holistically—to engage and drive the audience through the funnel. This role required end-to-end campaign management—allowing me to stay hands-on at every phase of campaign creation: from audience insights, content creation, copywriting, go-to-market strategy and execution, and analytics and reporting.
  • Rational Interaction
    Social Media Strategist
    Rational Interaction May 2013 - Jan 2014
    Greater Seattle Area
As a Social Media Strategist, I lived and breathed social media. My time in the role proved that social platforms can provide value at any stage in the customer journey—whether providing a forum for 1:1 customer conversations or by leveraging paid tactics to drive leads. In this role, I had the opportunity to own, drive, and optimize social strategy for many of the agency’s largest brands. In those role, I learned to be both strategic and hands on—attacking problems with big ideas and the tactical knowledge to execute. In sum, this empowered me to be a social strategist, a seasoned content storyteller, a paid media expert, an analytics geek, and a community manager. I wore a million hats – and I learned from each of them.

They are out of the box, they take risks, and they provide results. As the Account Management Intern at Wexely, I was exposed to each stage of account and business development; during which time, I gained a distinct understanding of the responsibilities of each department. Moreover, my internship gave me the opportunity to sit side-by-side account managers, giving me the chance to assist them in their creation of meaningful deliverables for clients.
  • One Reel
