Hardware/Software EngineerEfi Nov 2005 - Sep 2008Londonderry, Nh, UsWorked on code development and debugging of the raster image/job and page data memory allocation software module of the EFI Fiery software for 1 year.Then worked on the hardware development and prototyping team for 2 years. Interesting R&D was a two board solution for PCIe running over fiber optics for 50 meters, developed the boards, did the hardware bring-up and then made numerous board changes until we made it work, then diagnosed an intermittent issue that ended up being a silicon problem, leading our vendor to have to respin a chip we were using. Lots of deep, hands-on PCIe experience during this time. Also designed a PCI board with an FPGA used to do multi-channel (per color) DMAs at very high utilization. Also worked on a number of automated testing solutions.
