"Building infrastructure to enable trade and commerce across Africa" is my life's work. Trade drives economic activity, but beyond that this rich continent - Africa, currently carries the highest female entrepreneurship rate globally at 27%, 22% of Africa's working population are starting businesses and 58% of the continent's self employed population are women. Today, I sit as the founder of Losode. In a past life, I spent over two decades working in the global tech space across EMEA, LATAM and the United States on multi-million and multi-billion dollar programmes impacting multinationals and the world at large.Losode's focus is to alleviate poverty. Our mission is centred on empowering entrepreneurs, smashing existing trade borders, solutionising in the industries we operate in and doing big business boldly and courageously. We think impact first. Trade is critical for the economic development of Africa particularly in reducing unemployment levels among women and youth. I am determined that generations to come do not have to subscribe to 'unethical' means for survival. The Technology eco-system at large is male - dominated, I carry a strong female message. In many parts of Africa, strict gender norms prevail. I passionately mentor my team but also women in general. Helping women thrive in sectors in which they are more active, is an important step towards softening this situation. With bold plans and ideas, a passion for transformation and bleeding age technology solutions; my team and I stand at the forefront of driving transformation across the ecommerce industry in Africa. We believe in structure, processes and our people. We actively visualise an Africa where entrepreneurs are empowered as they are able to connect with global audiences and new markets. The lack of physical infrastructure effortlessly prevalent in the region makes its own case for the need for technological infrastructure.I take a proactive and strategic thinking approach in analysing issues and proffering solutions. I am highly skilled in leading and mobilising teams. At my core, I believe in execution and associated results. I am a confident communicator who believes in disruption and building for posterity. I build and contribute to large organisations for impact, taking excellence to heart. I have a highly developed 'un-impossibilty' quotient. Essentially, I love challenges, if it is not near impossible count me out. I love technology, but more importantly I love people, I am intentional about bringing out the best in people and organisations.
