As a governor my responsibility is to contribute to the development, review and approval of the mission and strategic vision of Bournemouth University, as well as the long-term academic and business plans and KPIs, to ensure they meet the need of stakeholders.

Advance the Education of Students at Bournemouth University by being the principlea representative of their views internally at BU, within the local community and on anational level.To provide leadership for the students’ union and co-ordinate the effectiveness of the Executive Committee and Trustee Board. Coordinate and support the work of the four elected Vice Presidents in delivering their portfolios in campaigns across both campuses. To represent the student body on key university meetings and committees such as senate and university board of governors. To drive the strategic and operational planning of the organisation which consists of 51 full-time staff and 160 seasonal staff.To be the primary point of contact and voice for students for external press relationsand internal membership communication, unless specifically covered by other roles.To lead on national representation and campaigns to improve the student experience,unless specifically covered by other roles. Lead on ensuring the Union has a strong presence on all university campuses

As a Chair Trustee, I was responsible for:- The proper administration of the charity, ensuring that the charity’s assets and resources are used only for the charity- The vision, mission, and management of the charity- The safeguarding and protection of the assets of the charity - A charity’s assets include its investments, cash, land, intellectual property, staff, and reputation.

Led a team of students who were working together to produce films, which included all forms of production with pre-production , post -production and marketing.

Developed and delivered a range of services that directly supported students from across all academic departments, and at all levels of study. This included one-to-one appointments, events and workshops, programmes to develop employability skills and online resources achieved this by working with departments across the Careers Service to ensure that services aligned with support offered through academic programmes and was coordinated and communicated effectively to students.Supported the Head of Academic Affairs in delivering improvements to the University student experience and curriculum management, helping to ensure the continued provision of high quality, efficient and customer-focused academic services.
